Why Eat Raw Food: Rex's Curezone Post

I want to start a series of posts on Raw Food in this blog for a reason.

Last year, one of my closer friends died of pancreatic cancer. She was overweight and diabetic, she did not want to seriously diet, and she kept shifting physicians and medical centers. She did not want to do EFT. You can't force people. When her last physician put her on insulin shots, for an unknown reason he did not check on the state of her pancreas. 8 months later she was diagnosed with metastased pancreatic cancer. Then in 3 months she passed away.

Six years ago, I had found a series of posts in the CUREZONE forums, from a man who cured his wife's cancer by completely changing the family's lifestyle and food habits.

I have to publish this article here. I just can't let it sit in my backfiles CD. I hope the CUREZONE people won't say it's plagiarism. I say it is a lifebuoy sent out to people who may need the information. Those facts should not stay hidden.

Here it is. From the CUREZONE FORUMS page:
The message comes in 2 posts.

This man writes under the loginname "Rex":

"One year ago, last April 2000, my wife age 42, was suffering with hip and groin pain, pains that brought her to tears during the night.

"After going to the doctor and receiving muscle relaxing drugs and mild pain killers, there was no change. It was thought that she was suffering from arthritis or early osteoporosis. She is a teacher of twenty years and before returning for the 2000-2001 school year, I insisted she have a complete physical. This was late August of 2000.

"After a mammogram they discovered a lump in her left breast less than one inch in diameter. A subsequent needle biopsy confirmed our worse fears, malignant Breast Cancer. No lymph nodes were swollen but it was recommended that a mastectomy followed by chemo and radiation be performed.

September 13th, I will never forget that date, as I spent the entire night on the Internet researching cancer. I found sites concerning raw and living foods, laetrile, gerson therapy, Hulda Clark, Johanna Budwig, Flax seed, household toxins, Rife technology, Zappers, Syncronometers, CoQ-10, MSN, MGN, and last but not least "life style changes".

"September 15th we engaged. Cleaned house, tossed all meats, dairy, banished processed foods, went raw, and no white poisons. I put my credit card to use on the internet and purchased numerous cancer modalities.

"We still did not feel safe. We sought second opinions, first a private oncologist that came very highly recommended, and secondly the University of Nebraska at Omaha. We were given the same recommendations. At this point we felt she had a very good chance for curbing the spread of the cancer, but she was still suffering immensely from pain in her hips, lower back, and groin.

"As a prerequisite of surgery, she was required to have a MRI and bone scan. We did that locally and to our total dismay, it was revealed to us that she had cancer in her bones. Not just a single bone, but throughout her skeleton. Her knees, hips, ileum, sternum, ribs, spine, essentially everything except her skull. A bone marrow sample was performed and confirmed the worst possible scenario, metastasized breast cancer to the bone, stage four.

"Date October 5th. I had, as a precaution, already made an appointment at Mayo Clinic, Rochester Minnesota, for what I though was going to be another of our second/second opinions concerning the lump and hence, called and confirmed. We packed for a three to four week stay, as instructed by Mayo, thinking there would be clinical studies or a modality that would give us hope.

"We arrived on a Monday, first appointment Tuesday at 6:45 AM and continued through the day with numerous exams including stereoscopic x-rays etc. At 5:30 P.M., the same day, we met with three specialists who had reviewed our tests.

"The verdict: get your affairs in order. Upon pressuring the lead specialist for a professional prognosis he stated, "You will be on morphine by January". Upon further prodding for the time involved, i.e. "How much time do we have" he said, "Two months to possibly a year".

"I asked the specialist, "How in the world can you call this breast cancer when she has been hurting in her hips since last April and the minute lump was found in September?". He must of realized how stern I was for answers as his reply was," Let me tell you how we developed nomenclature for cancers. The first cancer that is found is biopsied under a light microscope and a picture of the cell structure is sketched. Any subsequent cancers that appear are biopsied and if the cell structure is similar they are classified as a metastasized form of the primary cancer".

"I thought, what bunk, as I wanted proof as in nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry, cell studies, DNA analysis, or anything other than a non-artists rendition of cell shape.

"We headed back to Nebraska the next day in total shock. I was numb and hardly remember the trip. I did however remember one statement concerning the stereoscopic x-rays.

"The X-ray specialist said there appears to be healing sites in the ribs and sternum. I asked how he differentiated these from active cancer sites and he replied, "They appear as if osteoporosis has set in which is different than active cancer sites". This was the ray of hope that I believe got us back home.

"After arriving home I could not get the words "healing sites" out of my mind. We had made a drastic dietary\environmental change just 20 days prior to the Mayo visit and I knew something was happening.

"Let me explain, this was nothing intuitive or spiritual but just plain apparent, as I had lost 18 lbs with the diet change. Not only the weight loss confirmed my hypothesis, but the total digestive health I was now experiencing was nothing less than phenomenal.

"I was a 6-8 pill-a-day Xyantac user prior to the diet change, and now was acid reflux free! I could go on with details concerning our nutritional\life style changes but feel I have said enough tonight. This is a long posting and I apologize for my rambling. As this is my first posting to any newsgroup, I would appreciate responses. Thank you Deb (dear Sis) for breaking me out."

"PS My wife is more alive than ever, teaching, loving, mothering, and celebrating life!"

Rex continues:

"With the words "healing sites" fresh in my mind and the drastic improvement in my own health, I was fueled to journal and do more research. After studying the various regimes I concluded:

"1. Cancer could be caused by environmental poisons, parasites\parasitic residues, nutritional deficiencies, or stress related issues.

"2. A proactive approach has to be taken to contradict these causatives.

"3. The immune system has to be strengthened and the elimination system has to be in top working order.

"What is necessary to strengthen the immune system:

"1. Foods that have life energy, i.e. are alive.
If you can't plant them in soil, put them in water, or take cuttings from them, and they grow, they are dead. There are life energies we do not yet understand.

"2. Minerals and micronutrients. We all know how our soil has been mined and that essential nutrients are missing from our diet.

"What did we first do:

"1. Clean the bowel:

"***a: herbal fiberblend by AIM daily to this day.

"***b: Hulda Clark Bowel Cleanse, wormwood-cloves-Indian rhubarb every three weeks and still going

"2. Clean the kidneys:

"***a: watermelon and water flush-every three weeks and still going.

"3. Clean the liver:

"***a: Hulda Clark Epson salts-olive oil-pink grapefruit every three weeks and still going.

"4. Bought products from Mannitec (ambrotose-phytoaloe-plus), AIM(barleygreen-herbal fiberblend), bought a Champion juicer, 8X8oz carrot juice with 1 tblsp. Barley Green daily, make Essiac Tea (Deb, my Sis does this for us), started B17 laetrile and raw apricot seeds, started shark cartilage, started mgm3, started MSM, bought ozone generator, bought 15% hydrogen peroxide for baths, organic aloe Vera juice, rubbed DMSO on bad cancer spots, isoflavones, SPES, tons of COQ-10, B6, B2, Pancreatic Enzymes, coral calcium, Sea Salt( ), and flax seed oil with cottage cheese.

"5. Bought a Zapper and Syncrometer… Zap twice daily.

"6. Made her quit her teaching job of 19 years and tried to remove all stress from her life. Kept her smiling and laughing with the help of my two sisters and brother. (My comment: they did not know about EFT, which would had been extremely helpful here).

"7. Bought Qui gong tapes, bought Dr. Day tapes, bought positive reinforcement tapes, use aromatherapy, sunshine treatments, and pure water.

"8. Use oxy-drops and hydrogen peroxide baths to build O2 levels, hyper-thermia in our hot-tub 102 degrees...

"9. Coffee enemas ( ) every morning… no exception.

"10. And…. visualize the cancer being defeated, see it dying, laying on of hands, spiritual knowing, expecting a miracle. You are what you think you are.

"All of the above we still continue today.
"I will post more details as time allows."

Thank you Rex for all this information. All the people out there who managed to heal a cancer with non-official methods should report somewhere on the internet, to share info and give other people hope.

Dear reader, if this is your case, feel free to report here.

You can't fight cancer with nice words and hopes. You fight it with an active mindset, actively taking action and moving on from a passive lifestyle that makes you accept everything that's handed to you by the culture your'e in, junkfood, pollution, etc., to an active choice of many healthier - although not really easy - solutions.

This is not the easy-going lifestyle.
I can see that the REX people did not cling to only one healing solution - like only rawfood and going to a rawfood clinic, or only Dr Hulda Clark's methods... - they took several. They listened to all of the healthy advice they were given here and there and they applied it right away.

When I compare with my friend's mindset, I cannot help thinking she did not want to live...
What if her soul wanted go...? Then it was useless telling her about healthy diet and energy therapy...

New solutions for cancer are appearing here and there in the world. Sometimes, I may report on them in this blog.

I have to heal the loss of this friend of mine...

U.S. Health officials across the world have declared a public health emergency and fear this could be the beginning of a global pandemic that started in Mexico, where seven people are confirmed dead as a result of the new virus.

On Monday April 27th, the World Health Organization (WHO) raised its pandemic alert level to four on its six-level threat scale, which means that they have determined that the virus is capable of human-to-human transmission.

The number of death cases and of suspected and confirmed disease cases across the world change depending on the source. Get the latest numbers from Google Maps' Swine Flu Tracker.

According to official sources, the symptoms are:

Fever of more than 100 F
Runny nose and/or sore throat
Joint aches
Severe headache
Vomiting and/or diarrhea
Lack of appetite
Top global

Well, aren't those the ordinary symptoms of normal, regular flu some people get in winter?
Don't rush to the hospital as soon as you have them!

Dr MERCOLA writes:

"I suspect you have likely been alarmed by the media's coverage of the swine flu scare. It has a noticeable subplot - preparing you for draconian measures to combat a future pandemic as well as forcing you to accept the idea of mandatory vaccinations.

"On April 27 Time magazine published an article which discusses how dozens died and hundreds were injured from vaccines as a result of the 1976 swine flu fiasco, when the Ford administration attempted to use the infection of soldiers at Fort Dix as a pretext for a mass vaccination of the entire country.

"Despite acknowledging that the 1976 farce was an example of "how not to handle a flu outbreak", the article still introduces the notion that officials "may soon have to consider whether to institute draconian measures to combat the disease".

""This is NOT the First Swine Flu Panic. The last time was in 1976, right before I entered medical school and I remember it very clearly. It resulted in the massive swine flu vaccine campaign.

"Do you happen to recall the result of this massive campaign?

"Within a few months, claims totaling $1.3 billion had been filed by victims who had suffered paralysis from the vaccine. The vaccine was also blamed for 25 deaths.

"However, several hundred people developed crippling Guillain-Barré Syndrome after they were injected with the swine flu vaccine. Even healthy 20-year-olds ended up as paraplegics.

"And the swine flu pandemic itself? It never materialized.

"More People Died From the Swine Flu Vaccine than Swine Flu!"

Dr MERCOLA's advice is : "The key is to remain calm."
Here are a few simple things to do:

* OPTIMIZE YOUR VITAMIN D LEVELS! Vitamin D is the best thing to avoid infections of ALL kinds, and vitamin D deficiency is what causes you to get the flu in winter because of lack of sun -- not the flu virus itself.
This is probably the single most important and least expensive action you can take.
Have your vitamin D level monitored: to confirm your levels are therapeutic at 50-70 and done by a reliable vitamin D lab like Lab Corp.

* AVOID SUGAR - Sugar decreases the function of your immune system almost immediately.
Be aware that sugar is present in foods you may not suspect, like ketchup and fruit juice.

* HAVE EFFECTIVE TOOLS TO ADDRESS STRESS - Relieve your stress with EFT - and I recommend that you get the great mp3 audio from Ron Ball on stress in the EFT WORLD SUMMIT - click on this link
If stress becomes overwhelming then your body will be less able to fight off the flu and other illness.

* EXERCISE WISELY - to increase blood circulation and better diffuse the components of your immune system throughout the body.

* GET OMEGA-3 FAT FROM A RELIABLE SOURCE (the best is krill-oil)

* WASH YOUR HANDS with regular, simple chemical-free soap (not antibacterial soap).

* EAT GARLIC REGULARLY. Garlic works like a broad-spectrum antibiotic against bacteria, virus, and protozoa in the body.

The Truth Behind the Economy Crisis

April 3, 2009 - "The financial industry brought the economy to its knees, but how did they get away with it? With the nation wondering how to hold the bankers accountable, Bill Moyers sits down with William K. Black, the former senior regulator who cracked down on banks during the savings and loan crisis of the 1980s. Black offers his analysis of what went wrong and his critique of the bailout." EFT SPECIFICS: What if you can't say "I accept myself"

Many people report having difficulties to use EFT's default setup sentence:
"Even though I have this... (name the issue)..., I deeply and completely accept myself".

No problem: You are not obliged to keep any formulation for yourself, you are always free to change it according to your intuition.

For instance, say:
"...., I am open to the possibility of resolving this issue some day..."

Dr Patricia Carrington got even more specific when she created her wonderful CHOICE METHOD, introduced by Gary Craig in the following page of his website:

Gary Craig:

"Celebrities appear to have it all--money, fame, power and the ability to wave their hands and have the world bend to their every whim. That may be so, at least from an outsider's perspective, but their inner worlds are just as prone to frailties as yours and mine.

"Dr. Patricia Carrington takes us on a unique tour inside a celebrity client of hers and develops not only several useful insights for us but also suggests a "choices" version of affirmations."

Dr Patricia Carrington:

I ’ve found that the "Choices" method can assist a client to consolidate and make permanent the beneficial changes brought about by EFT, thus helping these EFT-created changes to generalize to many aspects of the person’s life. When that happens, we see true transformation.
Let me give you an example.

"Tara" came into therapy for help with intermittent depression and marital problems. She is an accomplished singer who grew up in a world of theatre people... (...) When Tara came into therapy she acted as though she had "no identity" of her own... (...)

IF YOU CANNOT SAY "I deeply and completely accept myself"
if could be that you have a REJECTION and ABANDONMENT problem - either one of your parents died when you were very young, or there was rejection abuse. Check this with "The Missing Mother Handbook" with Carna Zacharias-Miller.

"Long time EFT'er Eric Robins, MD discusses the work of health pioneer John Sarno and tells us how emotions are a central cause for pain. We are quite familiar with that notion, of course, having reduced thousands of people's pain by collapsing emotional issues. Dr. Robins says, "Also, I'm sure it’s obvious to you that some of the methods he [Sarno] was using to handle emotional issues are archaic compared to the speed and efficiency of EFT. We could be expected to get better results and faster with EFT, which is the best and fastest mind-body healing technique in clinical use in the world right now." Hugs, Gary

By Eric Robins, M.D

"John Sarno, MD is a professor of physical medicine at NYU, and sees the worst chronic pain patients in the world. Most have had severe pain (neck, back, shoulder, buttocks) for 10 to 30 yrs, most have had multiple epidural injections, one or more surgeries, and years of physical therapy. They all had terrible mechanisms of action (like a forklift truck falling on them or a 747 jet rolling over them), and all their x-rays look like the "Elephant Man", so they seemingly have a good reason for their pain.

"With this cohort of patients, he has a 70% cure rate (with regard to both pain and function), and an additional 15% of his patients are much improved (i.e., 40 - 80% better). And he has had these results with about 12,000 patients.

"The typical pain patient comes in and usually the doctor will order an MRI scan, and invariably... (...) "

MSG, the Silent Killer

MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE - or MSG - is a toxic substance people consume in processed foods, and probably wouldn't if they knew it causes many of their brain cells to die.

MSG is a widespread and silent killer that’s worse for your health than alcohol, nicotine and many drugs, and it is likely lurking in your kitchen cabinets right now.

MSG means "monosodium glutamate", and it is a flavor enhancer that has been widely known as an additive in Chinese food; but now, the dirty truth is the is is actually added to thousands of the foods you and your family regularly eat, especially if you eat the majority of your food as processed foods or in restaurants, like most Americans do, and, to some extent, a growing number of Europeans as well.

McDonald's and most all other fast food restaurants use MSG to help sell their foods. MSG is very inexpensive and makes the food taste good -- which in many ways is similar to SUGAR -- but MSG is far more toxic than sugar.

MSG is used in canned soups, crackers, meats, salad dressings, frozen dinners... in supermarkets, restaurants, school cafeterias... and evn in baby food and infant formula. It makes things seem more tasty and fresher.

It is silently doing major damage to your health.

The FDA states:

"Studies have shown that the body uses glutamate, an amino acid, as a nerve impulse transmitter in the brain and that there are glutamate-responsive tissues in other parts of the body, as well.
"Abnormal function of glutamate receptors has been linked with certain neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease and Huntington's chorea. Injections of glutamate in laboratory animals have resulted in damage to nerve cells in the brain."

MSG, like L-cysteine and aspartame, are excitotoxins, chemical transmitters that allow brain cells to communicate, as described in Dr. Russell's Blaylock's book, "Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills".

Dr Blaylock writes:
"When an excess of food-borne excitotoxins, such as MSG, hydrolyzed protein soy protein isolate and concentrate, natural flavoring, sodium caseinate and aspartate from aspartame, are consumed, these glutamate receptors are over-stimulated, producing cardiac arrhythmias.
"When magnesium stores are low, as we see in athletes, the glutamate receptors are so sensitive that even low levels of these excitotoxins can result in cardiac arrhythmias and death."

Health issues linked to regular consumption of MSG include:
* Obesity
* Eye damage
* Headaches
* Fatigue and disorientation
* Depression
* Numbness
* Burning sensation
* Tingling
* Facial pressure or tightness
* Chest pain or difficulty breathing
* Headache
* Nausea
* Rapid heartbeat
* Drowsiness
* Weakness

The following ingredients ALWAYS contain MSG:
* Autolyzed yeast
* Glutamate
* Monopotassium Glutamate
* Calcium Caseinate
* Gelatin
* Glutamic Acid
* Hydrolyzed Protein
* Monosodium Glutamate
* Sodium Caseinate
* Textured Protein
* Yeast Extract
* Yeast Food
* Yeast Nutrient

And those other ingredients OFTEN contain MSG or create MSG during processing:
* Flavors and Flavorings
* Seasonings
* Natural Flavors and Flavorings
* Natural Pork Flavoring
* Natural Beef Flavoring
* Natural Chicken Flavoring
* Soy Sauce
* Soy Protein Isolate
* Soy Protein
* Bouillon
* Stock
* Broth
* Malt Extract
* Malt Flavoring
* Barley Malt
* Anything Enzyme Modified
* Carrageenan
* Maltodextrin
* Pectin
* Enzymes
* Protease
* Corn Starch
* Citric Acid
* Powdered Milk
* Anything Protein Fortified
* Anything Ultra-Pasteurized

Says Dr Mercola: "The bottom line is that you are going to need to invest some time in the kitchen if you want to stay healthy and avoid fast foods, which if consumed regularly will accelerate your departure from this planet."

Psychotherapy and Chinese Medicine

Psychotherapy Dramatically Improved By New 'Acupuncture Without Needles' Technique

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- Stanford Engineer Gary Craig brings a new Acupuncture finding to the psychotherapy field. It is called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and is based on the discovery that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's "subtle energies."

What Traumatic Memories Do to Your Body

The entire body of Chinese Medicine is centered around these minute energy flows but, until recently, their use for emotional issues has gone unnoticed. "Conventional psychotherapy takes a long time to do very little," says Craig, "and that's because psychologists have been looking in the wrong place for centuries."

According to Craig's findings, traumatic memories from the past cause a 'short circuit' in the free flow of the body's Chi (energy) and that is what causes current forms of anxiety, nervousness, depression, headaches, phobic responses and the like. "Once you realize this," maintains Craig, "psychotherapy becomes easy."

EFT repairs this short circuit by stimulating precise meridian points via tapping on them with the fingertips. This simple process can be learned and applied by anyone.

What a Tibetan Medical Doctor Found out

"I believe that acupuncture and EFT work well together," says Tashi Rabten, ND, LAc. At the Lhasa University School of Traditional Medicine in Tibet, where he received advanced degrees in medicine and acupuncture, Dr. Rabten attended over 4,000 hours of acupuncture classes and clinics. He is president of the International Tibetan Medical Association.

"It takes years of practice to become an expert acupuncturist," he says, "but with EFT you can learn to tap on key points in just a few minutes with no experience or training. Acupuncture is still the best way to treat specific health problems because it works deeply and precisely, but EFT is an excellent support therapy, and it helps bring lasting results by removing the emotional causes of many illnesses."

Dr. Rabten has witnessed the physiological changes EFT can produce first-hand. In one case, he held the wrist of a congestive heart failure patient to monitor his pulse, which was fast, weak, and erratic. Dr. Rabten asked the patient's wife to tap EFT points on her husband's face and torso, and within 20 seconds, the patient's pulse slowed and became strong and steady.

Hundreds of reports and case studies from EFT practitioners, including licensed acupuncturists and health care professionals, testify to the procedure's versatility. All of the conditions treated by conventional acupuncture are represented, along with psychological issues like post-traumatic stress disorder, phobias, anxiety, and psychosomatic illnesses. Even reading comprehension problems and golf games improve as a result of tapping.

Craig's EFT Manual provides all the basics for free and has been translated by volunteer practitioners into nine languages. His EFT website has risen from obscurity to the sixth most actively visited natural health site in the world.

EFT to wash away depression

Press Release: New Method for Depression Often Works When Nothing Else Will

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB)--Until recently, few conditions have been as difficult to treat as depression. Depression is exhausting, makes everything a struggle, and interferes with every facet of life.

Psychiatrists used to approach depression and other emotional conditions with talk therapy, but discussing the past seldom brought relief. Now psychiatrists use psychoactive drugs to treat brain chemistry imbalances. While this approach may suppress symptoms, it doesn't address the imbalances' underlying causes, and when the drugs are discontinued, symptoms recur.

Fred Gallo, Ph.D., a Pittsburgh-area psychologist and editor of the book Energy Psychology in Psychotherapy, uses something entirely different. He asks patients to focus on unhappy events, but at the same time he has them gently tap on key acupuncture points. This method is called EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques.

"Using EFT," he says, "I have successfully treated fears, phobias, depression, trauma, and addictions. Its effects are rapid, dramatic, and deep."

Since developing EFT fifteen years ago, Gary Craig, an engineer educated at Stanford University, has trained thousands of health care professionals in this innovative method. Some of these are licensed physicians who use it to augment their medical approaches.

"Depression responds very well to EFT," he says. "In most cases the depressed feelings vanish or are materially reduced within a few minutes of applying it. No drugs are involved. Also, repeated applications of EFT often eliminate these feelings permanently so that they no longer reappear on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. "

According to Craig, many EFT practitioners report an 80-percent improvement rate in treating depression and other unresolved emotional issues. Its basic premise is that the underlying cause of all negative emotions, including depression, is an energy block in one or more of the body's meridians, the same energy pathways mapped thousands of years ago by Chinese physicians.

Often described as "emotional acupressure," EFT works by balancing the body's energy, releasing stored negative emotional responses to past trauma, guilt, and anger. Without its emotional fuel, depression can't start its engine.

EFT may be the world's fastest-growing self-help technique. Every week, between 5,000 and 10,000 people download Gary Craig's free EFT instruction manual, his weekly newsletter has 420,000 subscribers, and the number of health care practitioners who, like Dr. Gallo, incorporate EFT into their daily work has been growing exponentially.

Anyone can download Craig's free EFT Get Started Package at...
He freely gives you all the basics so you can apply it right away.

Anger clearing with EFT

A client resolves lifelong anger on her own

"Hi Everyone,
"This thoughtful article by Mair Llewellyn-Edwards of the UK illustrates a client's choice to use EFT for both herself and her family for long standing anger issues. The client's Grandmother sums it up by saying, "I now no longer blame others or myself, tapping has let me let go".
Please note the client's use of our "Borrowing Benefits" technique as well as a few of my own comments. Hugs, Gary"

By Mair Llewellyn-Edwards:

"Following her boyfriend's recommendation, "Susan" came to me 5 months ago for help with anger management. The boyfriend, "Carl", had used EFT successfully twelve months earlier for a flying phobia.

"I am always a little cautious working with a client who is sent by someone else because I want it to be their decision. However, I need not have worried about Susan she was very motivated to come. It was obvious that she had thought long and hard about working on this problem.

"Right from the onset of meeting her, I knew this meeting was different. Here was a very determined person wanting to sort out an anger problem that had plagued her for years... (...)"

GC COMMENT: "Anger is also a major cause of our physical ailments. It is well known that our emotions trigger a wide variety of chemical changes in our bodies and our "anger chemicals" can be particularly devastating..."

EFT relief for PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder)

New Treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Delivers Rapid, Long Lasting Results for Iraqi War Veterans--No Drugs Necessary

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- Stanford engineer Gary Craig introduces EFT, a new "acupuncture without needles" technique for helping Iraqi War Veterans gain relief from their Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques and involves the stimulation of certain meridian points on the body by tapping on them with the fingertips. This stimulation has been clinically shown in thousands of cases to dramatically reduce, or completely eliminate, the sting of trauma.

"Conventional psychology has been looking in the wrong place for clues to the PTSD puzzle," says Craig. "We have found repeatedly that the nightmares, sweats and intrusive memories of our war veterans occur because their war memories disrupt the proper flow of their bodies' subtle energies."

"Once these energies have been properly balanced," maintains Craig, "the war veteran couldn't get upset about the memory if s/he tried. This is also true for other emotional issues including phobias, grief, rape, depression and anger."

Susan Hannibal is a San Diego therapist and consistent user of EFT who often feels frustrated with the military's use of conventional and ineffective methods for PTSD. "One of the biggest problems facing our military today is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder," she says, "but no one in authority wants to break new ground and use the most effective treatment available."

"Even when they don't sustain physical injuries," says Hannibal, "their lives can go into a tailspin.

Traumatic memories are an underlying cause of health problems, social isolation, domestic violence, divorce, alcohol and drug abuse, and shattered families."

Everyone agrees that conventional treatments do little to help. Psychiatric drugs can dull or numb PTSD symptoms, but drugs have side effects and do nothing to address the disorder's underlying cause. Conventional talk therapy can even make the problem worse by reinforcing traumatic memories.

But Hannibal and other EFT practitioners worldwide routinely neutralize haunting memories - in soldiers, accident or abuse victims, and survivors of disasters - in record time. The simple EFT process often does its job in one or two sessions and, in some cases, has done it in minutes.

One of Hannibal's clients is Navy Corpsman Wilbur Hurley. Just before leaving Iraq, he had to deal with a young Marine's suicide. That event triggered memories of a murder-suicide Hurley witnessed as a child, and he began having vivid nightmares. Returning home, he isolated himself from friends and family and suffered debilitating anxiety attacks, flashbacks, auditory hallucinations, anger, and irritability.

Hurley's symptoms disappeared when Hannibal taught him EFT. After his first session, which Hannibal videotaped, Hurley left her office singing. "It was pretty much the greatest day of my life," he said. Even when he concentrated on the worst events he witnessed in Ramadi, he couldn't find a single memory that bothered him.

Corpsman Hurley has remained free of PTSD symptoms since his three-session treatment in December 2004.

Results like these don't surprise Gary Craig. In 1994, Craig and a colleague visited a Veterans Administration hospital in California, where they worked on-camera with six Vietnam War veterans.

"These men hadn't had a moment's peace in 20 years," says Craig. "Their lives revolved around their terrifying memories." But after just a few minutes of tapping, all of the men experienced profound release.

"Traumatic memories and phobias usually respond quickly to EFT," he says, "and the results are often permanent. EFT not only prevents post-traumatic memories from causing problems, it successfully treats memories that are decades old."

Despite the dramatic results achieved by patients at the VA hospital, says Craig, none of the staff were interested.

Today the Department of Veterans Affairs pays compensation for PTSD to nearly twice as many veterans as it did six years ago, at an annual cost of $4.3 billion. Most recent applicants are Vietnam War veterans.

"It would be wonderful if military chaplains, counselors, and psychologists learned EFT and taught it to everyone," says Hannibal, "but it's so different from what they're used to that no one knows what to make of it."

In addition, she says, there is still a bias against seeking help in all branches of the military. "It's cultural conditioning," she says. "It's unfortunate."

The EFT basics can be learned by anyone by downloading the free EFT Manual from Craig's website at

Clearing our body of past experiences

Tap on experiences that are stuck in parts of your body

Gary Craig writes:

"We find with great frequency that unresolved negative emotions and experiences show up in the body as pains or diseases. Once these are truly resolved with EFT, however, the physical symptoms often subside. Sudesh Shetty from India gives us some pointers along these lines."

By Sudesh Shetty:

"The saddest part about negative emotions like fears, anxieties, guilt, anger, suppression is that you are not even aware that they exist and are gnawing away at your body. When I stumbled upon EFT, I found a way of releasing hidden negativities which otherwise would taken a long time for me to discover.

"Using this technique I could release fears and anxiety stored in my scalp, knees and various parts of my body. The body is willing to cooperate. It wants to heal. It wants to release. All we have to do is facilitate this healing process. We like to measure what was there (issue) and what's not there now (healing) to convince ourselves that a technique/therapy works. Why wait before something becomes a problem for you? Why not use EFT to keep your system clean always?

How to Stop Smoking with EFT

New Smoking Cessation Program Resolves the Real Reason that People Smoke

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- Smokers typically use nicotine replacement or they "go cold turkey" to quit smoking. They also typically fail. In fact the US FDA reports that 70% of smokers want to quit, but more than 84% of them are unsuccessful in their attempts. Gary Craig, Stanford trained scientist and founder of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) explains that, "conventional smoking cessation systems don't work because they do not address the real reason that people smoke which is to tranquilize emotional issues like anxiety or low self esteem."

Craig initially developed Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) as a self-help tool for people with emotional difficulties but soon received reports from smokers who said that their craving for cigarettes subsided or disappeared while performing EFT for their emotional issues. These results didn't surprise Craig who maintains that, "smokers are tranquilizing their emotions with tobacco and will find quitting enormously difficult until those emotional issues are resolved.

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) reports that people suffering from nicotine withdrawal have increased aggression, anxiety, hostility, and anger. However, Craig doesn't attribute these emotional responses to nicotine withdrawal. He says, "smokers become anxious and irritable when they try to quit smoking because the unresolved emotions they had been trying to suppress with cigarettes come bubbling to the surface as nicotine exits their system."

Craig maintains that using EFT to resolve these emotions will help smokers to conquer this life threatening addiction permanently. "If emotional issues aren't properly resolved, the smoker feels overwhelmed and eventually turns back to cigarettes to pacify the emotional pain."
EFT is a simple technique that combines focused thought with gentle fingertip tapping on key acupressure points. Craig says, "The main cause of all negative emotions is not where psychologists have been looking. Instead, it involves the disruption of the energy pathways in the body. Once these pathways are balanced, the emotional drivers behind smoking and other addictions start to fade."

Dr. Carol Look is a Clinical Hypnotherapist and EFT Practitioner who has helped many clients quit smoking. Dr. Look reports, "While I used hypnosis successfully for many smokers, I found that treatment using EFT gave the client more control, empowerment, and an active tool they could pull out and use whenever they wanted."

Pat Farrell is another Clinical Hypnotherapist who prefers to use EFT for smoking cessation. One woman came to Farrell because she had quit smoking many times but had recently resumed smoking around the occasion of her wedding anniversary; a painful time since her husband had left her three years previously for a younger woman.

With EFT, Farrell helped her client collapse feelings of overwhelming sadness and betrayal as well as her immediate physical cravings for cigarettes. Farrell also addressed the woman's habitual craving for cigarettes with her morning coffee. They worked together for about an hour and only spent three minutes on the actual cigarette craving. The rest of the time they addressed the emotional drivers fueling the woman's need for cigarettes.

Two weeks after treatment, Farrell's client still had no desire for a cigarette. She accomplished this without psychotherapy or nicotine replacement.

Anybody can learn to use EFT to eliminate cigarette cravings and even to quit smoking entirely. Gary Craig explains, "smokers generally expect to fail when they set out to quit. But when they use EFT, most experience an instant reduction in their cigarette craving. Their level of hope increases as their cravings decrease. If they persistently use EFT to address the emotional component of their addiction, they are likely to have a high success rate."

If smoking cessation programs incorporated the proper use of EFT, Craig predicts that their success rate would be about between 50 and 80 percent - instead of the current 84% failure rate.

An estimated 1 million people have downloaded Craig's free training manual and another 5,000 to 10,000 download it each month. Clearing a case of itchy eyes

Solid detective work helps EFT clear a long term case of itchy eyes (conjunctivitis)

"Hi Everyone,
"Tim Watts from London shows us how resolving an emotional issue (a specific event) completely resolves a 6 year case of itchy eyes. Hugs, Gary"

By Tim Watts:

"I absolutely love receiving the EFT Newsletter, there's so much to learn, and its teachings propel me to want to do more and more and more with EFT.

"Having realized that (for the moment) I am "meant" to be practicing EFT, like a sponge I lap up every last bit of info on your newsletters, I get so much hope each time I read and reread the articles and suggestions.

"I wanted to share with you a case where I was working with Annette (not her real name). Annette had been suffering from a long lasting "itchy eye" feeling that had been with her for over 6 years. Her eyes itched like crazy, especially first thing in the morning, and despite her doctor's best efforts it just would not seem to clear up. It made her angry and depressed at times. Nothing seemed to work.

"I said EFT still may not completely clear up the soreness but was definitely worth a shot on seeing if we could reduce the discomfort. We began the session with... (...)

Reading those articles in Gary Craig's website is extremely helpful for someone who wants to learn EFT. You often get the full series of tapping statements and reframes used by the EFT practitioner to reach complete success. Seasoned practitioners and lay-persons as well give their best advice and original practice tips, which you can use for yourself.

"Itchy eyes" most often are related to the person's need to cry, which is being strongly hidden and suppressed... and can be put in perspective with REJECTION and ABANDONMENT issues that could have been forgotten.
Carna Zacharias-Miller has thoroughly studied this problem. Whether or not one parent was missing or there was abuse and lack of emotional support for the child, it is greatly beneficial to check the various issues related to that, with her manual:

Migraine headache relief with EFT

Migraine Headache Relief: No Meds Therapy Reports 80% Effectiveness--Often Works in Minutes

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- Stanford Engineer Gary Craig introduces a new approach for migraine headache sufferers. This non-drug treatment is called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and, through clinical applications, has provided an effectiveness rate of over 80%.

In essence, EFT is an emotional version of acupuncture except needles are not necessary. Instead, gentle fingertip tapping on precise meridian energy points allow the body's subtle energies (or Qi, as it is called in Chinese medicine) to flow unimpeded. This has proven repeatedly to provide relief from a wide variety of pains, including migraine headaches.

An estimated 303 million worldwide experience recurring migraine headaches. At any one time migraines are incapacitating 20 million people, interfering with their productivity and disrupting their personal as well as professional lives. "EFT can nearly eliminate this problem," says Craig. "While qualified physicians should always be consulted, the rapidity and ease with which this process often works is astonishing."

EFT Practitioner Lindsay Kenny reports on one of her early migraine headache cases as follows: "Sherry was out of medication and out of her mind in pain, so she tried lying on the floor and tapping for relief, not knowing whether or not EFT would help. She said that relief came within minutes of tapping and that the migraine was completely gone in less than 10 minutes. She was delighted and astounded. And so was I. That was the first time I knew EFT could work on such serious ailments."

Although EFT is a new process, it has been discovered by innovative members of the medical community. They have found that it effectively addresses the emotional causes to disease and thus provides relief where other methods fail. As Los Angeles Urologist Eric Robins says, "Some day the medical profession will wake up and realize that unresolved emotional issues are the main cause of 85% of all illnesses. When they do, EFT will be one of their primary healing tools .... as it is for me."

Over 500,000 people have downloaded Craig's free training manual and another 10,000 download it each month. Known as The EFT Manual, it has been translated by volunteer practitioners into 24 languages. The EFT website is one of the most actively visited natural health site in the world.

One Minute Wonder with EFT

Carpal Tunnel "one minute wonder"

Gary Craig writes:

"Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is usually treated with everything from wrist braces to surgery. With EFT, however, it often vanishes in short order using nothing but a few taps. Carole Gledhill from England validates this by sharing this case wherein her client went from extreme pain down to nothing with one round of tapping. Note that she handles an important emotional issue first.
Hugs, Gary"

By Carole Gledhill:

"I have been tapping my friends and myself for about a year now with lots of surprises and wonderful exciting experiences. Recently a friend came to me describing herself as being a mess. She was at a critical point in a relationship crisis and was having a make or break meeting with her partner that evening. She was meeting him in a public place and wanted my help because she didn't want to collapse in a puddle of tears.

EFT protects against heartbreak both ways

New Technique Helps Avoid Heart Damage by Diffusing Anger Within Marital Arguments

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- Researchers report that hostile marital disputes do more than cause stress, they nearly double the risk of atherosclerosis, or coronary artery calcification. Meanwhile, nearly half of all new marriages in the United States end in divorce. Fortunately, arguing spouses can improve their health and change their fighting habits with a simple do-it-yourself acupressure technique called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)."

There is a direct connection between emotions and physical health," says best-selling author Dr. Joseph Mercola, "so it's not surprising that marital discord can trigger all sorts of heart-damaging problems. But people don't have to keep hurting themselves and each other. I've found EFT to be very effective in reducing stress and helping people lead happier, healthier lives."

In EFT, the goal is to clear energy blocks from the body's meridians, the same energy pathways charted thousands of years ago by Chinese acupuncturists. The technique combines gentle fingertip tapping of key acupuncture points along with focused thought.According to Gary Craig, the Stanford-trained engineer who developed EFT, "Conventional coping strategies tend to be ineffective because they fail to balance these vital pathways. No matter how angry someone might be, as soon as tapping balances the body's energy, the anger literally disappears."

EFT practitioners around the world report a 50 to 80 percent success rate in treating physical symptoms, such as high blood pressure, as well as emotional symptoms like anger.

This is excellent news for those in unhappy marriages and at risk of heart disease. According to organizations like, there are more than 10 million divorces in the U.S. each year, and their fallout costs taxpayers $30 billion annually. Heart disease remains the number one cause of death in the U.S., and its estimated annual cost exceeds $350 billion in health care and lost productivity. From every perspective, marital discord and heart disease are an expensive and damaging combination.

Personal coaches Layne and Paul Cutright use EFT in their relationship training because, as they say, "EFT is the fastest, easiest, and most readily accessible of all our tools. It can be used over the telephone and is easily taught to anyone willing to learn."Gary Craig and other EFT practitioners have documented thousands of cases in which physical and emotional stress symptoms disappeared in a few minutes or a few sessions."

When their energy meridians are balanced," Craig explains, "even people in an unhappy marriage can resume their discussion without experiencing the same habitual stress responses. EFT has been shown to lower blood pressure, reduce heart palpitations, and help people think and speak calmly and rationally. It's a highly effective technique for marriage counselors, psychologists, and health care practitioners."

Over 1,000,000 have downloaded Craig's free training manual and another 10,000 download it each month. The official EFT Manual has been translated by volunteer practitioners into 24 languages. The EFT website is one of the most actively visited natural health site in the world.

Home Remedy in case of Kidney Stone Problem

Kidney Stones: AVOID COFFEE

You are suffering from the excruciating pain of "renal calculi" e.g. kidney stones, while waiting for the stone to pass by itself as your doctor has advised. Is there something else to do? You could certainly benefit from some natural remedy for kidney stones.

The origin of kidney stones

Kidney stones are formed by the body from unprocessed minerals in the renal system. Most of them consist of calcium oxalate. They occur in about 10% of the population but men are four times as likely to get them as women. They tend to recur, so that once you have had one, you have a 75% chance of having more in the next 20 years.

Dr MERCOLA underlines a few reasons why kidney stones form. Drinking too much coffee and caffeine beverages is one of them. People who are prone to kidney stones should limit if not suppress their daily intake of caffeine. Two cups of coffee daily is already too much, say researchers; and if you add caffeinated sodas, your'e in for trouble. Don't put yourself at risk of enduring this incredible pain of a kidney stone!

What's more, Dr MERCOLA continues: "Coffee may interfere with your body's ability to keep homocysteine and cholesterol levels in check, most likely by inhibiting the action of the vitamins folate, B12 or B6. In addition to increasing risk of kidney stones, coffee -- more accurately caffeine -- has been said to increase risk of high cholesterol, stroke, rheumatoid arthritis." Now, you can think twice about this little cup of coffee several times a day... there is danger.

Now there can be other origins, some of them linked to certain drugs. Studies have shown that people taking Xenical, a drug used to fight obesity, might be prone to the development of kidney stones, particularly if their diet contains a high amount of oxalate-rich foods. It was discovered that with Xenical, oxalate levels appeared in the urine four to eight times higher than the baseline value. This is believed to lead to the formation of kidney stones. (This information appeared in Yahoo News, July 23, 2004).

Dr. MERCOLA comments: "This drug does not work to solve the cause of obesity in any way, shape or form." Period.

It is possible to have kidney stones without noticing, because many will pass when very small. You might have a pain when urinating but you probably would not notice that you had passed something that could be as tiny as a grain of sand.

Severe case: see your doctor

Larger stones can block the urethra and that is when the severe pain is caused. You may also see blood in the urine. This comes from the lining of the organs being damaged by the uneven surface of the stone. If you have pus or pain during urination you should tell your doctor as this may be a sign of infection.

Even in cases where the stone is large enough to cause pain, the majority of them do pass naturally. There are certain things you can do to help this happen, or make it happen faster.

Dealing With Kidney Stones at Home

The best treatment to help a stone pass is simply to drink plenty of water. Aim for 2-3 liters spread through the day.

Consuming more soup, fresh fruit and raw vegetables is another way to increase your intake of water, as they contain much more than dry cooked foods and grains. Be careful however to avoid over consumption of oxalate which contributes to the forming of the most common type of stone.

Avoid food high in oxalate

Examples of foods that contain high levels of oxalate include spinach, rhubarb, chocolate, tea, parsley, beetroot, strawberries, wheat flour, pepper, sweet potatoes and some nuts.

Also, cut down on salt and alcohol which have a dehydrating effect, and meat and dairy products which cause uric acid to form in the kidneys.

Some people take diuretics to increase the water flow through the kidneys. Some herbal teas have a natural diuretic effect, for example dandelion and stinging nettle. Taking one of these teas several times a day may help the stone to pass more quickly. Unless you have other medical reasons for taking them, prescribed diuretics should not be necessary.

In Argentina, people drink "maté" on a daily basis. This plant is considered to help in eliminating uric acid from the body and in preventing the formation of kidney stones.

Have the stone analyzed

You should strain your urine so that you catch the stone when it passes. Your doctor can have it analyzed to see what minerals it is formed from. This will tell you how you need to alter your diet in future to give you the best chance of preventing a recurrence. For most people, a diet that is lower in protein and salt is recommended.

Do not to take large doses of vitamins and minerals until you have had your stones or your urine analyzed.

A doctor should always be involved in treatment of renal calculi because of the possibility of infection and complications. A natural remedy for kidney stones should only be used in conjunction with medical advice.

The Lemon Juice Diet

- The first morning, take the juice of a half-lemon with some water when you get up, before anything else. Wait for half an hour before having breakfast.
- Do this again for 4 or 5 days.
-Then, each morning, take the juice of a whole lemon with water. Do this for 3 days.
- Now that your organism is used to it, continue the diet by adding a half-lemon to what you take the previous day, for instance:
- Day 9: 1 lemon 1/2
- Day 10: 2 lemons
- Day 11: 2 lemons 1/2
- Day 12: 3 lemons
- Continue until you 10 lemons.
- Then, do the process backwards: 9 lemons 1/2, 9 lemons, 8 lemons 1/2 etc.
- Until you get to 1 lemon for 3 days, then a half-lemon for 4 or 5 days (repeating the process you did at the beginning).

The Lemon Diet is very beneficial and cleansing for the body, beside the fact that it is an efficient home remedy in case of kidney stones.

Clear the Emotions, Clear the Pain

New Roots of Chronic Pain Discovered

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- A groundbreaking new treatment for fibromyalgia is successful because it addresses the emotional and physical trauma that is believed to be at the root of this chronic illness. According to the National Institutes of Health, "Many people associate the development of fibromyalgia with a physically or emotionally stressful or traumatic event, such as an automobile accident.

"EFT is a do-it-yourself acupressure treatment that targets chronic pain by addressing these traumatic and emotional roots. There are no drugs involved and most fibromyalgia sufferers can find relief using EFT on their own. Gary Craig, the Stanford-trained engineer who developed EFT, worked with Vietnam War Veterans to help them resolve some of their traumatic memories. Says Craig, "in the course of applying EFT, the Veterans experienced profound emotional peace for the first time in 20 years."

A side-benefit was that many of the men reported that their chronic physical pain diminished or disappeared along with their emotional pain. Soon we were successfully applying EFT with people who were suffering chronic pain from arthritis, back injury and even fibromyalgia. Emotional and physical relief tend to go hand-in-hand when doing EFT.

"Bestselling author and natural health advocate, Dr. Joseph Mercola uses EFT in his medical practice. "In my experience fibromyalgia is nearly always related to some severe emotional trauma that establishes a series of potentially devastating physical processes, which frequently incapacitate the person." Dr. Mercola did EFT with a patient whose fibromyalgia prevented her from sitting without pain for three years. As a result, she’d been unable to travel by plane to visit her family for several years.

Mercola continues, "within several minutes the EFT was able to completely and permanently eliminate her pain. Most of her pain was related to the sadness of not seeing her family, the stress and trauma of the accident that caused the pain and her need to forgive the driver of the truck that hit her." EFT neutralized the sadness, anger and trauma and eliminated the physical pain.Craig explains, "to me, fibromyalgia and most other physical ailments are merely bodily manifestations or symptoms of unresolved fear, trauma, rejection, anger, guilt and other emotional causes. Take care of the emotional causes and the physical symptoms tend to fade."

EFT is a modern version of acupuncture that has been used for 5,000 years to treat emotional and physical ailments. It combines gentle fingertip tapping on key acupuncture points while focusing on physical or emotional issues. Says Craig, "It consistently provides relief to fibromyalgia and chronic pain sufferers where painkillers, antidepressants and even acupuncture have failed. EFT consistently helps fibromyalgia patients improve their disordered sleep, overcome fatigue and clear brain fog."

Estimates indicate that 3 to 6 million Americans suffer from fibromyalgia and 80 to 90 percent of those sufferers being women. "Most fibromyalgia patients learn about EFT after they have been through years of expensive conventional medical treatment for their symptoms", explains Craig. "Many feel hopeless and worn down from their search for relief. My goal is to have EFT presented as part of the first line of treatment available to people with chronic pain conditions, rather than the last resort. To this end, I am offering the EFT Manual as a free download from the EFT website."

4 Very Important Tips to Reduce Stress

New Acupressure Discovery Reduces Stress 4 Ways: 80% Success Rate

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), a groundbreaking self-healing tool may be the missing link in the battle against the current stress epidemic. EFT enhances any stress management protocol because it balances the body’s energy meridians or chi and addresses unresolved emotional issues quickly and easily. Conventional stress management tools largely ignore this energy-based approach.

This adaptation of acupressure claims an 80% success rate in calming the body and mind’s stress response. It and can be learned freely by downloading the EFT Manual at

Stress is now associated with most serious diseases and illnesses, and according to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), job stress is more strongly associated with health complaints than family or financial problems. Furthermore, 80% of workers report feeling job related stress.

These radical levels of stress require innovative interventions so that people can take control of their own health and well-being. However, many people find it a struggle to adhere to some kind of stress management program, and therefore have a difficult time coping with stress.

According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, sponsor of the world’s most visited natural health website (, “Suppressed emotions such as anger, fear and sadness that are not fully transformed will severely limit your ability to cope with the normal stresses of life. It is not so much the stress that kills us, but rather our impaired ability to cope with it. Fortunately, the technology now exists to rapidly and effectively transform these emotions. We do it every day in our office with EFT.”

Dr. Mercola, has been using EFT successfully since 2001 to support his patients in achieving optimal health.

In an effort to educate the public about stress reduction, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) makes the following recommendations. EFT has been shown to enhance each of these coping strategies, thereby making them more effective and easier incorporate into an already stressed lifestyle.

1. Reduce Negative Thinking. People with negative attitudes may experience events or emotions as being more stressful than people with positive attitudes. To this end, the NIH simply recommends making an effort to stop negative thinking.

According to EFT theory, unresolved negative emotions and thoughts are caused by a disruption in your body’s subtle energy system. Until that disruption is balanced, willful attempts to change negative thinking will likely be unsuccessful. Thousands of people have successfully used EFT to resolve these disruptions and thus address negative core beliefs, negative self-talk and unproductive thought patterns.

2. Improve Physical Well-being. Poor nutritional habits stress the body, increasing the risk of infection. The NIH recommends making healthy food choices and eating reasonable amounts of food according to a schedule.

This simple directive does not take into account that many people use comfort food to tranquilize stress and may be very resistant to making drastic dietary changes. EFT is one of the only treatment options available to address the deep issue of emotional overeating. Using EFT enhances one’s ability to eat for nutrition rather than comfort.

3. Increase Physical Activity. The NIH indicates that a lack of physical activity can be stressful for the body, and an increase in physical activity can promote a sense of well-being. The NIH recommends engaging in a scheduled exercise routine at least three times per week. However, that advice takes will power and is not often followed.

EFT is successfully used to increase motivation to be physically active, and resolve negative attitudes towards exercise. If exercising is no longer a struggle, its stress fighting qualities will be enhanced.

4. Relax. The NIH recommends that unless people under stress have hobbies, outside interests or means of relaxation, they may have a more difficult time handling stress. Their recommendation is to take “a mini retreat”.

Hundreds of EFT case studies indicate that many people, especially women, have emotional blocks to taking time for themselves. They may feel undeserving, guilty, weak or self-indulgent, and tend to put others’ needs first. Using EFT helps combat feelings of negative self-worth, making relaxing, guilt-free breaks more attainable.

Use It for Everything

Fear of Flying, Public Speaking and All Phobias Gain Rapid Relief From New Meridian Based Procedure

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- Most people have experienced some level of fear when they encounter such things as snakes, heights, spiders, flying or public speaking. But, according to the National Institute of Mental Health, irrational phobias interfere with daily life for 10% of American adults. A new discovery makes it possible for people with phobias to gain relief without drugs, or traumatic therapy wherein patients are required to confront what frightens them. EFT addresses phobias at a deeper level by simply balancing the well-established energy meridians (chi) that become disrupted by intense emotional reactions.

Stanford-trained engineer Gary Craig, designed EFT to improve and accelerate the psychotherapy process. According to Craig, "EFT has been enormously successful in treating phobias because it balances and clears blocks in the body’s meridians. At the same time, EFT clears any associated emotional issues. If someone is afraid of elevators because they were locked in a closet as a child, EFT will clear that association. In 70 to 80 percent of cases, the phobia clears quickly, completely and permanently.

"The EFT process involves simple fingertip tapping on key acupressure points combined with focused thought. Craig explains, "most people with phobias can have an intense reaction just thinking about their feared object or situation. Using EFT calms that reaction and averts any future reactions."According to the American Psychological Association, only about 25% of people with phobias seek treatment. But if left untreated, 80% of adult phobias never get resolved. Furthermore, phobic people may be more susceptible to other forms of mental illness like depression or generalized anxiety disorder. A study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry states that people with agoraphobia may have a greater risk of developing Parkinson’s disease.

Best-selling author Dr. Joseph Mercola recommends EFT for people with anxiety disorders and phobias, which he describes as "an enormously crippling problem." Mercola explains, "most people in this country suffer and do nothing, or they resort to drugs. Drugs do help, but it is obvious that they are no more than band-aids. Fortunately you don't have to rely on Paxil or Xanax for a solution. There are quick, simple and inexpensive solutions. EFT is one that seems to work profoundly well.

"Says Craig, "EFT is fast becoming a top treatment choice for psychologists and psychiatrists when working with phobic patients. Clinical cases evaluated over 9 years show that most patients respond to EFT and eliminate their phobias in one to three sessions as compared to a dozen sessions of conventional psychotherapy.

"Psychologist Dr. Joe Bavonese learned EFT and was impressed with the results. He offered EFT sessions to some phobic clients with whom he had previously only had partial success. One client had an intense elevator phobia that limited him in his job and on vacations.

Dr. Bavonese guided his client through EFT, focusing on his feelings of being closed in. After forty minutes of EFT, he rode the elevator several times with no phobic response whatsoever. The same feeling of being closed in was reflected in the man’s intense flying phobia and tunnel phobia, both of which cleared after this EFT session.

A recent USA Today article reported "Fear of flying cripples -- or at least burdens -- the careers of millions of Americans.

"People are turning down promotions and opportunities because they require air travel and those opportunities may be going to less qualified individuals, at great cost to employers. Says Craig, "when people clear a phobia with EFT, they often discover a world of opportunity that was previously denied them because of their fear and avoidance.

"Over 225,000 have downloaded Craig’s free training manual and another 10,000 download it each month. It has been translated by volunteer practitioners into 24 languages.

Frequently asked Questions & Answers about EFT

Introduction by Founder GARY CRAIG:

"To hear some people talk, one might think that one round of the EFT Basic Recipe would cure every ailment known to the human race. Just tap, tap, tap and everyone becomes peaceful—all grievances disappear, all traumas are instantly resolved and no one grows old or dies. That’s a worthy thought, of course, but we’re not quite there yet.
"If EFT had reached such perfection, there would be nothing more to learn and this Question and Answer series would be unnecessary. But because we are always seeking greater proficiency, I am dedicating a significant part of this web site to those Questions and Answers about EFT that will allow us to move forward. The questions covered in this section come from both newcomers and experienced practitioners alike. The answers are designed to assist EFT users in the "art" of this process which, hopefully, will allow us all to approach perfection--a noble goal indeed. Let’s begin."

EFT: The "Do-It-Yourself" Method

What is EFT?

Founder Gary Craig anwsers in:

"EFT is a powerful new discovery that combines two well established sciences so you can benefit from both at the same time:

"- Mind Body Medicine

"- Acupuncture (this new version does not require needles--anyone can do it).

"There is voluminous scientific evidence that each of these methods, applied by itself, can provide impressive relief. But when you combine them both with EFT, a profound synergistic effect is possible. I have observed this repeatedly since 1997 and have seen many stunning results. I believe it is this synergism that allows EFT to sometimes work where nothing else will."

Here is the complete EFT self-healing method you can try:

- Download the FREE EFT Manual. It gives the basics and allows you to try EFT for yourself at beginner's level.

Says Gary Craig: "This tutorial is aimed at those dedicated to improving their skills. It augments the EFT Video Products and assumes that the student has at least studied The EFT Course. It will also be helpful for those whose training is limited to the The Free Downloaded EFT Manual. The articles below are best understood if read in the order presented."

Do-It-Yourself Acupressure Technique Helps Protect Patients Against Medical Mistakes

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB: -- Every year over 100,000 Americans die because of medical mishaps, and millions more are harmed. According to a report released July 20 by the Institute of Medicine, medication errors alone injure 1.5 million patients and cost the nation at least $3.5 billion annually. Drug errors are so widespread, the report says, that hospital patients should expect to suffer one every day they remain hospitalized. Everyone agrees that avoiding unnecessary hospitalization and unnecessary prescriptions is an excellent idea.

Diet, exercise, and good relationships boost immunity and improve health – and so does a simple do-it-yourself acupressure technique called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), which a growing number of health care practitioners are adopting. EFT is explained in a free manual that can be downloaded from

"At least 85 percent of medical problems are physical manifestations of how stress, anxiety, or past traumas are held in and processed by the body," says Los Angeles physician Eric Robins, MD. "EFT is the best technique for addressing these issues and clearing them out of the body."Dr. Robins considers the official estimate of 100,000 deaths per year because of medical mistakes conservative. "When you add in side-effects from drugs, adverse reactions, inadvertent overdoses, and under-reporting, which is a serious problem in America’s hospitals," he says, "the death rate is much higher."

Dr. Robins, a urologist, routinely teaches EFT to patients who have chronic infections or other conditions that don’t respond to conventional treatment. "Time after time," he says, "they respond in just a few minutes. In some cases, we have cancelled surgeries when chronic problems resolved themselves thanks to EFT. What happens is that the tapping releases old traumas or stresses that are stored in different parts of the body, and as soon as the underlying problem goes away, so do its physical symptoms."

Texas emergency physician Thomas Flowers, D.O., agrees. "The pharmaceutical industry has become one of our biggest health care expenses," he says. "But most diseases have a significant emotional component that is completely ignored by conventional medicine. I’ve been using EFT for years, and I’m continually impressed by how effective it is at clearing emotional issues and improving overall health in the process. I’ve seen it work on migraine headaches, chronic neck and back pain, phobias, panic attacks, cravings for cigarettes and caffeine, and even for relief from the pain of broken bones or tooth extractions. I have no doubt that people who learn EFT and use it routinely enjoy better overall health – and a much lower risk of being harmed by medical mistakes."

Gary Craig, the Stanford-trained engineer who developed EFT, has collected thousands of reports documenting its health benefits from practitioners around the world. "We make no specific medical claims for EFT," he explains, "but we agree with medical experts who say that by relieving past traumas and improving the body’s flow of energy, EFT can help most patients improve their health."

EFT is a new procedure, but already over 300,000 – including thousands of health care practitioners – have downloaded its free manual from the EFT website , and an additional 10,000 download it every month. The manual is available in 24 languages, and EFT practitioners around the world, especially in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan, and Australia, teach EFT classes and work with clients.
