Tap on experiences that are stuck in parts of your body
Gary Craig writes:
"We find with great frequency that unresolved negative emotions and experiences show up in the body as pains or diseases. Once these are truly resolved with EFT, however, the physical symptoms often subside. Sudesh Shetty from India gives us some pointers along these lines."
By Sudesh Shetty:
"The saddest part about negative emotions like fears, anxieties, guilt, anger, suppression is that you are not even aware that they exist and are gnawing away at your body. When I stumbled upon EFT, I found a way of releasing hidden negativities which otherwise would taken a long time for me to discover.
"Using this technique I could release fears and anxiety stored in my scalp, knees and various parts of my body. The body is willing to cooperate. It wants to heal. It wants to release. All we have to do is facilitate this healing process. We like to measure what was there (issue) and what's not there now (healing) to convince ourselves that a technique/therapy works. Why wait before something becomes a problem for you? Why not use EFT to keep your system clean always?
"There are countless experiences that happen to you all the time... (...)

How to Stop Smoking with EFT
New Smoking Cessation Program Resolves the Real Reason that People Smoke
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- Smokers typically use nicotine replacement or they "go cold turkey" to quit smoking. They also typically fail. In fact the US FDA reports that 70% of smokers want to quit, but more than 84% of them are unsuccessful in their attempts. Gary Craig, Stanford trained scientist and founder of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) explains that, "conventional smoking cessation systems don't work because they do not address the real reason that people smoke which is to tranquilize emotional issues like anxiety or low self esteem."
Craig initially developed Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) as a self-help tool for people with emotional difficulties but soon received reports from smokers who said that their craving for cigarettes subsided or disappeared while performing EFT for their emotional issues. These results didn't surprise Craig who maintains that, "smokers are tranquilizing their emotions with tobacco and will find quitting enormously difficult until those emotional issues are resolved.
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) reports that people suffering from nicotine withdrawal have increased aggression, anxiety, hostility, and anger. However, Craig doesn't attribute these emotional responses to nicotine withdrawal. He says, "smokers become anxious and irritable when they try to quit smoking because the unresolved emotions they had been trying to suppress with cigarettes come bubbling to the surface as nicotine exits their system."
Craig maintains that using EFT to resolve these emotions will help smokers to conquer this life threatening addiction permanently. "If emotional issues aren't properly resolved, the smoker feels overwhelmed and eventually turns back to cigarettes to pacify the emotional pain."
EFT is a simple technique that combines focused thought with gentle fingertip tapping on key acupressure points. Craig says, "The main cause of all negative emotions is not where psychologists have been looking. Instead, it involves the disruption of the energy pathways in the body. Once these pathways are balanced, the emotional drivers behind smoking and other addictions start to fade."
Dr. Carol Look is a Clinical Hypnotherapist and EFT Practitioner who has helped many clients quit smoking. Dr. Look reports, "While I used hypnosis successfully for many smokers, I found that treatment using EFT gave the client more control, empowerment, and an active tool they could pull out and use whenever they wanted."
Pat Farrell is another Clinical Hypnotherapist who prefers to use EFT for smoking cessation. One woman came to Farrell because she had quit smoking many times but had recently resumed smoking around the occasion of her wedding anniversary; a painful time since her husband had left her three years previously for a younger woman.
With EFT, Farrell helped her client collapse feelings of overwhelming sadness and betrayal as well as her immediate physical cravings for cigarettes. Farrell also addressed the woman's habitual craving for cigarettes with her morning coffee. They worked together for about an hour and only spent three minutes on the actual cigarette craving. The rest of the time they addressed the emotional drivers fueling the woman's need for cigarettes.
Two weeks after treatment, Farrell's client still had no desire for a cigarette. She accomplished this without psychotherapy or nicotine replacement.
Anybody can learn to use EFT to eliminate cigarette cravings and even to quit smoking entirely. Gary Craig explains, "smokers generally expect to fail when they set out to quit. But when they use EFT, most experience an instant reduction in their cigarette craving. Their level of hope increases as their cravings decrease. If they persistently use EFT to address the emotional component of their addiction, they are likely to have a high success rate."
If smoking cessation programs incorporated the proper use of EFT, Craig predicts that their success rate would be about between 50 and 80 percent - instead of the current 84% failure rate.
An estimated 1 million people have downloaded Craig's free training manual and another 5,000 to 10,000 download it each month. Clearing a case of itchy eyes
Solid detective work helps EFT clear a long term case of itchy eyes (conjunctivitis)
"Hi Everyone,

"I absolutely love receiving the EFT Newsletter, there's so much to learn, and its teachings propel me to want to do more and more and more with EFT.
"Having realized that (for the moment) I am "meant" to be practicing EFT, like a sponge I lap up every last bit of info on your newsletters, I get so much hope each time I read and reread the articles and suggestions.

Her eyes itched like crazy, especially first thing in the morning, and despite her doctor's best efforts it just would not seem to clear up. It made her angry and depressed at times. Nothing seemed to work.
"I said EFT still may not completely clear up the soreness but was definitely worth a shot on seeing if we could reduce the discomfort. We began the session with... (...)

Migraine headache relief with EFT
Migraine Headache Relief: No Meds Therapy Reports 80% Effectiveness--Often Works in Minutes
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- Stanford Engineer Gary Craig introduces a new approach for migraine headache sufferers. This non-drug treatment is called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and, through clinical applications, has provided an effectiveness rate of over 80%.
In essence, EFT is an emotional version of acupuncture except needles are not necessary. Instead, gentle fingertip tapping on precise meridian energy points allow the body's subtle energies (or Qi, as it is called in Chinese medicine) to flow unimpeded. This has proven repeatedly to provide relief from a wide variety of pains, including migraine headaches.
An estimated 303 million worldwide experience recurring migraine headaches. At any one time migraines are incapacitating 20 million people, interfering with their productivity and disrupting their personal as well as professional lives. "EFT can nearly eliminate this problem," says Craig. "While qualified physicians should always be consulted, the rapidity and ease with which this process often works is astonishing."
EFT Practitioner Lindsay Kenny reports on one of her early migraine headache cases as follows: "Sherry was out of medication and out of her mind in pain, so she tried lying on the floor and tapping for relief, not knowing whether or not EFT would help. She said that relief came within minutes of tapping and that the migraine was completely gone in less than 10 minutes. She was delighted and astounded. And so was I. That was the first time I knew EFT could work on such serious ailments."
Although EFT is a new process, it has been discovered by innovative members of the medical community. They have found that it effectively addresses the emotional causes to disease and thus provides relief where other methods fail. As Los Angeles Urologist Eric Robins says, "Some day the medical profession will wake up and realize that unresolved emotional issues are the main cause of 85% of all illnesses. When they do, EFT will be one of their primary healing tools .... as it is for me."
Over 500,000 people have downloaded Craig's free training manual and another 10,000 download it each month. Known as The EFT Manual, it has been translated by volunteer practitioners into 24 languages. The EFT website is one of the most actively visited natural health site in the world.

One Minute Wonder with EFT
Carpal Tunnel "one minute wonder"

"Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is usually treated with everything from wrist braces to surgery. With EFT, however, it often vanishes in short order using nothing but a few taps. EFT protects against heartbreak both ways
New Technique Helps Avoid Heart Damage by Diffusing Anger Within Marital Arguments
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- Researchers report that hostile marital disputes do more than cause stress, they nearly double the risk of atherosclerosis, or coronary artery calcification. Meanwhile, nearly half of all new marriages in the United States end in divorce. Fortunately, arguing spouses can improve their health and change their fighting habits with a simple do-it-yourself acupressure technique called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)."
There is a direct connection between emotions and physical health," says best-selling author Dr. Joseph Mercola, "so it's not surprising that marital discord can trigger all sorts of heart-damaging problems. But people don't have to keep hurting themselves and each other. I've found EFT to be very effective in reducing stress and helping people lead happier, healthier lives."
In EFT, the goal is to clear energy blocks from the body's meridians, the same energy pathways charted thousands of years ago by Chinese acupuncturists. The technique combines gentle fingertip tapping of key acupuncture points along with focused thought.According to Gary Craig, the Stanford-trained engineer who developed EFT, "Conventional coping strategies tend to be ineffective because they fail to balance these vital pathways. No matter how angry someone might be, as soon as tapping balances the body's energy, the anger literally disappears."
EFT practitioners around the world report a 50 to 80 percent success rate in treating physical symptoms, such as high blood pressure, as well as emotional symptoms like anger.
This is excellent news for those in unhappy marriages and at risk of heart disease. According to organizations like divorceforum.org, there are more than 10 million divorces in the U.S. each year, and their fallout costs taxpayers $30 billion annually. Heart disease remains the number one cause of death in the U.S., and its estimated annual cost exceeds $350 billion in health care and lost productivity. From every perspective, marital discord and heart disease are an expensive and damaging combination.
Personal coaches Layne and Paul Cutright use EFT in their relationship training because, as they say, "EFT is the fastest, easiest, and most readily accessible of all our tools. It can be used over the telephone and is easily taught to anyone willing to learn."Gary Craig and other EFT practitioners have documented thousands of cases in which physical and emotional stress symptoms disappeared in a few minutes or a few sessions."
When their energy meridians are balanced," Craig explains, "even people in an unhappy marriage can resume their discussion without experiencing the same habitual stress responses. EFT has been shown to lower blood pressure, reduce heart palpitations, and help people think and speak calmly and rationally. It's a highly effective technique for marriage counselors, psychologists, and health care practitioners."

Home Remedy in case of Kidney Stone Problem
Kidney Stones: AVOID COFFEE
You are suffering from the excruciating pain of "renal calculi" e.g. kidney stones, while waiting for the stone to pass by itself as your doctor has advised. Is there something else to do? You could certainly benefit from some natural remedy for kidney stones.
The origin of kidney stones
Kidney stones are formed by the body from unprocessed minerals in the renal system. Most of them consist of calcium oxalate. They occur in about 10% of the population but men are four times as likely to get them as women. They tend to recur, so that once you have had one, you have a 75% chance of having more in the next 20 years.
Dr MERCOLA underlines a few reasons why kidney stones form. Drinking too much coffee and caffeine beverages is one of them. People who are prone to kidney stones should limit if not suppress their daily intake of caffeine. Two cups of coffee daily is already too much, say researchers; and if you add caffeinated sodas, your'e in for trouble. Don't put yourself at risk of enduring this incredible pain of a kidney stone!
What's more, Dr MERCOLA continues: "Coffee may interfere with your body's ability to keep homocysteine and cholesterol levels in check, most likely by inhibiting the action of the vitamins folate, B12 or B6. In addition to increasing risk of kidney stones, coffee -- more accurately caffeine -- has been said to increase risk of high cholesterol, stroke, rheumatoid arthritis." Now, you can think twice about this little cup of coffee several times a day... there is danger.
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2004/09/22/kidney-stones-coffee.aspx
Now there can be other origins, some of them linked to certain drugs. Studies have shown that people taking Xenical, a drug used to fight obesity, might be prone to the development of kidney stones, particularly if their diet contains a high amount of oxalate-rich foods. It was discovered that with Xenical, oxalate levels appeared in the urine four to eight times higher than the baseline value. This is believed to lead to the formation of kidney stones. (This information appeared in Yahoo News, July 23, 2004).
Dr. MERCOLA comments: "This drug does not work to solve the cause of obesity in any way, shape or form." Period. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2004/08/11/xenical-part-two.aspx
It is possible to have kidney stones without noticing, because many will pass when very small. You might have a pain when urinating but you probably would not notice that you had passed something that could be as tiny as a grain of sand.
Severe case: see your doctor
Larger stones can block the urethra and that is when the severe pain is caused. You may also see blood in the urine. This comes from the lining of the organs being damaged by the uneven surface of the stone. If you have pus or pain during urination you should tell your doctor as this may be a sign of infection.
Even in cases where the stone is large enough to cause pain, the majority of them do pass naturally. There are certain things you can do to help this happen, or make it happen faster.
Dealing With Kidney Stones at Home
The best treatment to help a stone pass is simply to drink plenty of water. Aim for 2-3 liters spread through the day.
Consuming more soup, fresh fruit and raw vegetables is another way to increase your intake of water, as they contain much more than dry cooked foods and grains. Be careful however to avoid over consumption of oxalate which contributes to the forming of the most common type of stone.
Avoid food high in oxalate
Examples of foods that contain high levels of oxalate include spinach, rhubarb, chocolate, tea, parsley, beetroot, strawberries, wheat flour, pepper, sweet potatoes and some nuts.
Also, cut down on salt and alcohol which have a dehydrating effect, and meat and dairy products which cause uric acid to form in the kidneys.
Some people take diuretics to increase the water flow through the kidneys. Some herbal teas have a natural diuretic effect, for example dandelion and stinging nettle. Taking one of these teas several times a day may help the stone to pass more quickly. Unless you have other medical reasons for taking them, prescribed diuretics should not be necessary.
In Argentina, people drink "maté" on a daily basis. This plant is considered to help in eliminating uric acid from the body and in preventing the formation of kidney stones.
Have the stone analyzed
You should strain your urine so that you catch the stone when it passes. Your doctor can have it analyzed to see what minerals it is formed from. This will tell you how you need to alter your diet in future to give you the best chance of preventing a recurrence. For most people, a diet that is lower in protein and salt is recommended.
Do not to take large doses of vitamins and minerals until you have had your stones or your urine analyzed.
A doctor should always be involved in treatment of renal calculi because of the possibility of infection and complications. A natural remedy for kidney stones should only be used in conjunction with medical advice.
The Lemon Juice Diet
- The first morning, take the juice of a half-lemon with some water when you get up, before anything else. Wait for half an hour before having breakfast.
- Do this again for 4 or 5 days.
-Then, each morning, take the juice of a whole lemon with water. Do this for 3 days.
- Now that your organism is used to it, continue the diet by adding a half-lemon to what you take the previous day, for instance:
- Day 9: 1 lemon 1/2
- Day 10: 2 lemons
- Day 11: 2 lemons 1/2
- Day 12: 3 lemons
etc.
- Continue until you 10 lemons.
- Then, do the process backwards: 9 lemons 1/2, 9 lemons, 8 lemons 1/2 etc.
- Until you get to 1 lemon for 3 days, then a half-lemon for 4 or 5 days (repeating the process you did at the beginning).
The Lemon Diet is very beneficial and cleansing for the body, beside the fact that it is an efficient home remedy in case of kidney stones.

How to get rid of phobias with EFT
Healing an Intense Fear of Tunnels in Norway
Gary Craigs' comment:
"In this well written article, join Ellen Dyb Wedeld as she overcomes her intense fear of tunnels by driving through some of the longest tunnels in Norway. This an excellent article for EFT students as it is a very complicated case and addresses many aspects. It also involves recognizing the "fear of the fear" which is an important concept to recognize when delivering EFT."
By Ellen Dyb Wedeld:
"Dear EFT’rs everywhere,I am a devoted student of EFT, and I’m very much looking forward to opening up my practice within a year. Meanwhile I use EFT on myself, and anyone who’ll let me, and have experienced so many one minute wonders, that I sometimes have to remind myself of the value of persistence!
"I have learned so much from the case histories on the EFT newsletter list, and I hope my contribution will be useful.
"I have suffered from tunnel-phobia for the past few years, progressively getting worse and culminating in a terrible panic-attack 2 years ago. And then...no more tunnels for me. The phobia wasA mixture of agoraphobia, claustrophobia, and the remains of a major depression+anxiety and panic disorder (long gone now, luckily!!!)
"What motivated me to REALLY work on it... "

Clear the Emotions, Clear the Pain
New Roots of Chronic Pain Discovered
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- A groundbreaking new treatment for fibromyalgia is successful because it addresses the emotional and physical trauma that is believed to be at the root of this chronic illness. According to the National Institutes of Health, "Many people associate the development of fibromyalgia with a physically or emotionally stressful or traumatic event, such as an automobile accident.
"EFT is a do-it-yourself acupressure treatment that targets chronic pain by addressing these traumatic and emotional roots. There are no drugs involved and most fibromyalgia sufferers can find relief using EFT on their own. Gary Craig, the Stanford-trained engineer who developed EFT, worked with Vietnam War Veterans to help them resolve some of their traumatic memories. Says Craig, "in the course of applying EFT, the Veterans experienced profound emotional peace for the first time in 20 years."
A side-benefit was that many of the men reported that their chronic physical pain diminished or disappeared along with their emotional pain. Soon we were successfully applying EFT with people who were suffering chronic pain from arthritis, back injury and even fibromyalgia. Emotional and physical relief tend to go hand-in-hand when doing EFT.
"Bestselling author and natural health advocate, Dr. Joseph Mercola uses EFT in his medical practice. "In my experience fibromyalgia is nearly always related to some severe emotional trauma that establishes a series of potentially devastating physical processes, which frequently incapacitate the person." Dr. Mercola did EFT with a patient whose fibromyalgia prevented her from sitting without pain for three years. As a result, she’d been unable to travel by plane to visit her family for several years.
Mercola continues, "within several minutes the EFT was able to completely and permanently eliminate her pain. Most of her pain was related to the sadness of not seeing her family, the stress and trauma of the accident that caused the pain and her need to forgive the driver of the truck that hit her." EFT neutralized the sadness, anger and trauma and eliminated the physical pain.Craig explains, "to me, fibromyalgia and most other physical ailments are merely bodily manifestations or symptoms of unresolved fear, trauma, rejection, anger, guilt and other emotional causes. Take care of the emotional causes and the physical symptoms tend to fade."
EFT is a modern version of acupuncture that has been used for 5,000 years to treat emotional and physical ailments. It combines gentle fingertip tapping on key acupuncture points while focusing on physical or emotional issues. Says Craig, "It consistently provides relief to fibromyalgia and chronic pain sufferers where painkillers, antidepressants and even acupuncture have failed. EFT consistently helps fibromyalgia patients improve their disordered sleep, overcome fatigue and clear brain fog."
Estimates indicate that 3 to 6 million Americans suffer from fibromyalgia and 80 to 90 percent of those sufferers being women. "Most fibromyalgia patients learn about EFT after they have been through years of expensive conventional medical treatment for their symptoms", explains Craig. "Many feel hopeless and worn down from their search for relief. My goal is to have EFT presented as part of the first line of treatment available to people with chronic pain conditions, rather than the last resort. To this end, I am offering the EFT Manual as a free download from the EFT website."
Over 500,000 have downloaded Craig’s free training manual and another 10,000 download it each month. The official EFT Manual has been translated by volunteer practitioners into 24 languages.
The EFT Manual explains the basics so that anyone can begin applying EFT right away. It can be freely downloaded at

4 Very Important Tips to Reduce Stress
New Acupressure Discovery Reduces Stress 4 Ways: 80% Success Rate
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), a groundbreaking self-healing tool may be the missing link in the battle against the current stress epidemic. EFT enhances any stress management protocol because it balances the body’s energy meridians or chi and addresses unresolved emotional issues quickly and easily. Conventional stress management tools largely ignore this energy-based approach.
This adaptation of acupressure claims an 80% success rate in calming the body and mind’s stress response. It and can be learned freely by downloading the EFT Manual at http://www.emofree.com/
Stress is now associated with most serious diseases and illnesses, and according to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), job stress is more strongly associated with health complaints than family or financial problems. Furthermore, 80% of workers report feeling job related stress.
These radical levels of stress require innovative interventions so that people can take control of their own health and well-being. However, many people find it a struggle to adhere to some kind of stress management program, and therefore have a difficult time coping with stress.
According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, sponsor of the world’s most visited natural health website (www.mercola.com), “Suppressed emotions such as anger, fear and sadness that are not fully transformed will severely limit your ability to cope with the normal stresses of life. It is not so much the stress that kills us, but rather our impaired ability to cope with it. Fortunately, the technology now exists to rapidly and effectively transform these emotions. We do it every day in our office with EFT.”
Dr. Mercola, has been using EFT successfully since 2001 to support his patients in achieving optimal health.
In an effort to educate the public about stress reduction, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) makes the following recommendations. EFT has been shown to enhance each of these coping strategies, thereby making them more effective and easier incorporate into an already stressed lifestyle.
1. Reduce Negative Thinking. People with negative attitudes may experience events or emotions as being more stressful than people with positive attitudes. To this end, the NIH simply recommends making an effort to stop negative thinking.
According to EFT theory, unresolved negative emotions and thoughts are caused by a disruption in your body’s subtle energy system. Until that disruption is balanced, willful attempts to change negative thinking will likely be unsuccessful. Thousands of people have successfully used EFT to resolve these disruptions and thus address negative core beliefs, negative self-talk and unproductive thought patterns.
2. Improve Physical Well-being. Poor nutritional habits stress the body, increasing the risk of infection. The NIH recommends making healthy food choices and eating reasonable amounts of food according to a schedule.
This simple directive does not take into account that many people use comfort food to tranquilize stress and may be very resistant to making drastic dietary changes. EFT is one of the only treatment options available to address the deep issue of emotional overeating. Using EFT enhances one’s ability to eat for nutrition rather than comfort.
3. Increase Physical Activity. The NIH indicates that a lack of physical activity can be stressful for the body, and an increase in physical activity can promote a sense of well-being. The NIH recommends engaging in a scheduled exercise routine at least three times per week. However, that advice takes will power and is not often followed.
EFT is successfully used to increase motivation to be physically active, and resolve negative attitudes towards exercise. If exercising is no longer a struggle, its stress fighting qualities will be enhanced.
4. Relax. The NIH recommends that unless people under stress have hobbies, outside interests or means of relaxation, they may have a more difficult time handling stress. Their recommendation is to take “a mini retreat”.
Hundreds of EFT case studies indicate that many people, especially women, have emotional blocks to taking time for themselves. They may feel undeserving, guilty, weak or self-indulgent, and tend to put others’ needs first. Using EFT helps combat feelings of negative self-worth, making relaxing, guilt-free breaks more attainable.

Use It for Everything
Fear of Flying, Public Speaking and All Phobias Gain Rapid Relief From New Meridian Based Procedure
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- Most people have experienced some level of fear when they encounter such things as snakes, heights, spiders, flying or public speaking. But, according to the National Institute of Mental Health, irrational phobias interfere with daily life for 10% of American adults. A new discovery makes it possible for people with phobias to gain relief without drugs, or traumatic therapy wherein patients are required to confront what frightens them. EFT addresses phobias at a deeper level by simply balancing the well-established energy meridians (chi) that become disrupted by intense emotional reactions.
Stanford-trained engineer Gary Craig, designed EFT to improve and accelerate the psychotherapy process. According to Craig, "EFT has been enormously successful in treating phobias because it balances and clears blocks in the body’s meridians. At the same time, EFT clears any associated emotional issues. If someone is afraid of elevators because they were locked in a closet as a child, EFT will clear that association. In 70 to 80 percent of cases, the phobia clears quickly, completely and permanently.
"The EFT process involves simple fingertip tapping on key acupressure points combined with focused thought. Craig explains, "most people with phobias can have an intense reaction just thinking about their feared object or situation. Using EFT calms that reaction and averts any future reactions."According to the American Psychological Association, only about 25% of people with phobias seek treatment. But if left untreated, 80% of adult phobias never get resolved. Furthermore, phobic people may be more susceptible to other forms of mental illness like depression or generalized anxiety disorder. A study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry states that people with agoraphobia may have a greater risk of developing Parkinson’s disease.
Best-selling author Dr. Joseph Mercola recommends EFT for people with anxiety disorders and phobias, which he describes as "an enormously crippling problem." Mercola explains, "most people in this country suffer and do nothing, or they resort to drugs. Drugs do help, but it is obvious that they are no more than band-aids. Fortunately you don't have to rely on Paxil or Xanax for a solution. There are quick, simple and inexpensive solutions. EFT is one that seems to work profoundly well.
"Says Craig, "EFT is fast becoming a top treatment choice for psychologists and psychiatrists when working with phobic patients. Clinical cases evaluated over 9 years show that most patients respond to EFT and eliminate their phobias in one to three sessions as compared to a dozen sessions of conventional psychotherapy.
"Psychologist Dr. Joe Bavonese learned EFT and was impressed with the results. He offered EFT sessions to some phobic clients with whom he had previously only had partial success. One client had an intense elevator phobia that limited him in his job and on vacations.
Dr. Bavonese guided his client through EFT, focusing on his feelings of being closed in. After forty minutes of EFT, he rode the elevator several times with no phobic response whatsoever. The same feeling of being closed in was reflected in the man’s intense flying phobia and tunnel phobia, both of which cleared after this EFT session.
A recent USA Today article reported "Fear of flying cripples -- or at least burdens -- the careers of millions of Americans.
"People are turning down promotions and opportunities because they require air travel and those opportunities may be going to less qualified individuals, at great cost to employers. Says Craig, "when people clear a phobia with EFT, they often discover a world of opportunity that was previously denied them because of their fear and avoidance.
"Over 225,000 have downloaded Craig’s free training manual and another 10,000 download it each month. It has been translated by volunteer practitioners into 24 languages.

Frequently asked Questions & Answers about EFT
Introduction by Founder GARY CRAIG:
"To hear some people talk, one might think that one round of the EFT Basic Recipe would cure every ailment known to the human race. Just tap, tap, tap and everyone becomes peaceful—all grievances disappear, all traumas are instantly resolved and no one grows old or dies. That’s a worthy thought, of course, but we’re not quite there yet.
"If EFT had reached such perfection, there would be nothing more to learn and this Question and Answer series would be unnecessary. But because we are always seeking greater proficiency, I am dedicating a significant part of this web site to those Questions and Answers about EFT that will allow us to move forward. The questions covered in this section come from both newcomers and experienced practitioners alike. The answers are designed to assist EFT users in the "art" of this process which, hopefully, will allow us all to approach perfection--a noble goal indeed. Let’s begin."

EFT: The "Do-It-Yourself" Method
What is EFT?
Founder Gary Craig anwsers in: http://www.emofree.com/newcomer.htm
"EFT is a powerful new discovery that combines two well established sciences so you can benefit from both at the same time:
"- Mind Body Medicine
"- Acupuncture (this new version does not require needles--anyone can do it).
"There is voluminous scientific evidence that each of these methods, applied by itself, can provide impressive relief. But when you combine them both with EFT, a profound synergistic effect is possible. I have observed this repeatedly since 1997 and have seen many stunning results. I believe it is this synergism that allows EFT to sometimes work where nothing else will."
Here is the complete EFT self-healing method you can try:
- Download the FREE EFT Manual. It gives the basics and allows you to try EFT for yourself at beginner's level.
- Purchase the training DVD's. This process is so easy to use that no previous training is required. Caveat: For people who are emotionally or physically frail, qualified health professionals should be consulted before using ANY health procedure.
- Read the FREE exhaustive list of actual cases on the website http://www.emofree.com/
They have been written by EFT users: clients, therapists, physicians who explain how they used the method for specific cases.
- READ THE FAQ'S

AVOID MEDICAL MISTAKES AND DRUG ERRORS
Do-It-Yourself Acupressure Technique Helps Protect Patients Against Medical Mistakes
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB: -- Every year over 100,000 Americans die because of medical mishaps, and millions more are harmed. According to a report released July 20 by the Institute of Medicine, medication errors alone injure 1.5 million patients and cost the nation at least $3.5 billion annually. Drug errors are so widespread, the report says, that hospital patients should expect to suffer one every day they remain hospitalized. Everyone agrees that avoiding unnecessary hospitalization and unnecessary prescriptions is an excellent idea.
Diet, exercise, and good relationships boost immunity and improve health – and so does a simple do-it-yourself acupressure technique called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), which a growing number of health care practitioners are adopting. EFT is explained in a free manual that can be downloaded from
http://www.emofree.com/
"At least 85 percent of medical problems are physical manifestations of how stress, anxiety, or past traumas are held in and processed by the body," says Los Angeles physician Eric Robins, MD. "EFT is the best technique for addressing these issues and clearing them out of the body."Dr. Robins considers the official estimate of 100,000 deaths per year because of medical mistakes conservative. "When you add in side-effects from drugs, adverse reactions, inadvertent overdoses, and under-reporting, which is a serious problem in America’s hospitals," he says, "the death rate is much higher."
Dr. Robins, a urologist, routinely teaches EFT to patients who have chronic infections or other conditions that don’t respond to conventional treatment. "Time after time," he says, "they respond in just a few minutes. In some cases, we have cancelled surgeries when chronic problems resolved themselves thanks to EFT. What happens is that the tapping releases old traumas or stresses that are stored in different parts of the body, and as soon as the underlying problem goes away, so do its physical symptoms."
Texas emergency physician Thomas Flowers, D.O., agrees. "The pharmaceutical industry has become one of our biggest health care expenses," he says. "But most diseases have a significant emotional component that is completely ignored by conventional medicine. I’ve been using EFT for years, and I’m continually impressed by how effective it is at clearing emotional issues and improving overall health in the process. I’ve seen it work on migraine headaches, chronic neck and back pain, phobias, panic attacks, cravings for cigarettes and caffeine, and even for relief from the pain of broken bones or tooth extractions. I have no doubt that people who learn EFT and use it routinely enjoy better overall health – and a much lower risk of being harmed by medical mistakes."
Gary Craig, the Stanford-trained engineer who developed EFT, has collected thousands of reports documenting its health benefits from practitioners around the world. "We make no specific medical claims for EFT," he explains, "but we agree with medical experts who say that by relieving past traumas and improving the body’s flow of energy, EFT can help most patients improve their health."
EFT is a new procedure, but already over 300,000 – including thousands of health care practitioners – have downloaded its free manual from the EFT website http://www.emofree.com/ , and an additional 10,000 download it every month. The manual is available in 24 languages, and EFT practitioners around the world, especially in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan, and Australia, teach EFT classes and work with clients.
